🍞 Carnivore Egg White Bread (Zero Carbs)
🥚 Ingredients:
-
12 large egg whites (or 1½ cups liquid egg whites)
-
1 tsp cream of tartar (helps with stability)
-
1/2 cup beef protein isolate or unflavored egg white protein powder (key for structure)
-
Optional: pinch of salt
-
Optional: 1–2 tbsp melted beef tallow, butter, or bacon fat (for richness & moisture)
🔥 No dairy, no carbs, no nut flours. Just protein power.
🔧 Tools:
-
Stand mixer or hand mixer
-
Loaf pan (8×4 or 9×5 inch)
-
Parchment paper (optional for easier removal)
👩🍳 Instructions:
-
Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Line your loaf pan with parchment or grease well.
-
In a large bowl, add egg whites and cream of tartar.
-
Whip with a mixer on high until stiff peaks form (like meringue).
-
Slowly fold in the protein powder (and salt/fat if using) a little at a time. Be gentle so you don’t deflate the mix.
-
Pour into loaf pan and smooth the top.
-
Bake for 30–40 minutes, until golden and firm. It should sound hollow when tapped.
-
Cool in the pan 10 mins, then remove and cool fully on a rack before slicing.
🧊 Storage:
-
Keep in the fridge up to 5 days.
-
Toast to refresh texture.
-
Freeze slices between parchment if batch prepping.
