🍤 Carnivore Shrimp Skillet
🥩 Ingredients:
-
1 lb (450g) raw shrimp, peeled and deveined (tails on or off)
-
2 tbsp beef tallow, ghee, or butter
-
1 tsp sea salt (optional)
-
1/2 tsp ground white pepper or black pepper (optional)
-
Splash of bone broth (optional, for extra flavor and moisture)
-
1 tsp garlic powder (optional for relaxed carnivores)
🔥 Instructions:
-
Prep the shrimp: Pat shrimp dry with a paper towel to help them sear well.
-
Heat your fat: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the beef tallow or butter until hot and shimmering.
-
Sear the shrimp: Add shrimp in a single layer. Cook for 1.5 to 2 minutes per side, depending on size, until pink and slightly golden around the edges.
-
Add bone broth (optional): If using, splash a few tablespoons into the pan right at the end and let it sizzle down, coating the shrimp in rich flavor.
-
Season: Sprinkle with salt and pepper if desired. Toss to coat and serve hot.
🔥 Carnivore Variations:
-
Shrimp & Egg Scramble: Cook shrimp, remove from pan, scramble eggs in same fat, then stir shrimp back in.
-
Shrimp “Alfredo”: Add heavy cream and grated Parmesan for a carnivore-style creamy dish.
-
Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp: Wrap each shrimp in a strip of bacon and air-fry or pan-sear.
This is a 100% carnivore-friendly dish that’s fast, satisfying, and versatile. Serve it solo, with steak, or top over a carnivore “chaffle” for a protein-packed sandwich.
