🥓🍳🧀 Carnivore Bacon, Egg & Cheese Sandwiches
Forget the bun. We’re using eggs, cheese, and bacon to build the ultimate handheld meat snack.
🧂 Ingredients (Makes 2 sandwiches):
-
4 large eggs
-
4 slices of thick-cut bacon
-
2 slices of sharp cheddar cheese (or shredded, whatever you like)
-
1 tbsp butter or bacon grease (for cooking)
-
Optional: Extra egg yolk, cream cheese, or sausage patty for layering
🔥 Directions:
Step 1: Cook the Bacon
-
In a skillet, cook bacon until crispy. Set aside on a paper towel-lined plate. Save the grease in the pan.
Step 2: Make the Egg “Buns”
-
In a bowl, crack and whisk eggs (or crack them individually for fried-style buns).
-
Heat skillet with butter or bacon grease on medium.
-
Pour egg into the pan in rounds (like pancakes). Use egg rings or pour into circles if you want a clean shape.
-
Cook until set, then flip and cook the other side.
You should have 4 thin egg rounds total (2 per sandwich — top & bottom buns).
Step 3: Assemble
-
On one egg “bun”, place a slice of cheese, 2 slices of bacon, maybe an extra egg yolk or sausage patty if you’re wild.
-
Top with the second egg round like a sandwich.
-
Repeat for the second sandwich.
-
Optional: Return to the pan for a minute with the lid on to help melt the cheese through.
😋 Tips:
-
Use shredded cheese and melt it into the bottom of the egg “bun” for a cheesy crust.
-
Want it super hearty? Add a burger patty in the middle and call it brunch.
-
These hold up well for meal prep — reheat in a pan or air fryer.
🧊 Storage:
-
Fridge: 3–4 days
-
Freezer: Wrap in parchment and foil — reheat in oven or toaster oven
