🥩 Zero-Carb Carnivore Burger Buns
🔥 Ingredients:
-
4 large eggs
-
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or any melty cheese like provolone or cheddar)
-
2 tbsp cream cheese (optional, helps with texture)
-
1/2 tsp baking powder (optional, helps fluffiness – skip if you’re strict carnivore)
-
Pinch of salt (optional)
-
Optional add-ins: bacon bits, bone broth powder, or ground pork rinds for texture
🍳 Instructions:
-
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper or use a silicone baking mat.
-
In a bowl, melt the mozzarella and cream cheese together (microwave 30–60 seconds or gently on the stovetop), and stir until smooth.
-
Whisk in the eggs, one at a time, until fully combined.
-
Add baking powder and salt if using. Stir until smooth.
-
Let the mixture sit for 3–5 minutes to thicken slightly.
-
Scoop into bun shapes (like hamburger bun size) on the tray. You can use silicone egg rings if you want perfect circles.
-
Bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden brown and firm to the touch.
-
Let them cool a bit before slicing and using as buns.
🍔 Pro Tips:
-
Want a fluffier texture? Separate the eggs, whip the whites until stiff peaks, then fold them in at the end.
-
Store leftovers in the fridge for 3–4 days or freeze them.
-
These also make great mini sandwich buns, toast bases, or just cheesy eggy snacks.
Want a version with just meat and eggs—no cheese at all? I’ve got one too. Want that?
