🧁 Carnivore Cupcakes (Ham-Egg-Cheese Bombs)
These savory, protein-packed “cupcakes” are rich, satisfying, and ridiculously easy. Perfect for meal prep, breakfast, or just flexing your carnivore lifestyle.
🥓 Ingredients (Makes 6 Jumbo Muffins):
-
12 large eggs
-
½ cup heavy whipping cream
-
6 slices thick-cut ham (round or square, just big enough to line the muffin cups)
-
¾ to 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
-
Bacon grease (for greasing the pan)
-
Salt to taste
-
Optional: pinch of black pepper or a dash of garlic powder (if not super strict)
🔥 Directions:
-
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
-
Grease a 6-cup muffin pan generously with bacon grease — don’t be shy.
-
Line each cup with a thick-cut ham slice, pressing it in to form a “cup.”
-
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the 12 eggs, heavy cream, and salt until smooth and fluffy.
-
Pour the egg mixture into the ham cups, filling almost to the top.
-
Top each one with a generous pinch of shredded sharp cheddar.
-
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the centers are set and the tops are golden and slightly puffed.
-
Let cool 5 minutes before popping them out. They’ll firm up a bit more as they rest.
🧊 Storage:
-
Fridge: 4–5 days.
-
Freezer: Wrap individually and freeze. Reheat in air fryer or oven for best texture.
😋 Bonus Carnivore Variations:
-
Add crumbled cooked bacon or ground sausage to the egg mix
-
Use turkey or prosciutto instead of ham
-
Top with a dollop of carnivore cream cheese frosting (aka just whipped cream cheese and tallow if you’re feeling extra)
Want a mini version or air fryer method? Or want to go full “dirty carnivore” with a sprinkle of jalapeño or hot sauce? Let’s gooo.
