A colorful delight: Trifle with fresh fruit
Ingredients :
– 1 large angel food cake or cube cake
– 2 cups of vanilla pudding or custard
– 1 cup whipped topping or whipped cream
– 2 sliced bananas
– 2 sliced kiwis
– 1 cup of raspberries
– 1 cup of canned mandarin oranges, drained
– 1 cup of canned peach slices, drained
– 1 cup of sliced strawberries
– Optional: extra whipped cream for topping
Itinéraires :
1. In a large glass dish or bowl, place one third of the cake cubed in the bottom.
2. Spread a layer of vanilla pudding or custard over cake pieces.
3. Arrange a layer of assorted fruits (banana slices, kiwis, raspberries, mandarin oranges and peaches) on the pudding.
4. Add a layer of whipped topping.
5. Repeat the layers (cake, pudding, fruit, whipped topping) until ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of whipped cream on top.
6. Top with extra fruit, like peach slices and raspberries, for a colorful finish.
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to let the flavors melt.
