Carnivore Air Fryer Salmon Nuggets

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) fresh salmon fillet, skin removed, cut into bite-sized nuggets

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 cup crushed pork rinds (for breading)

  • 1/2 tsp salt (optional)

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper (optional)

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder or smoked paprika (optional, if you tolerate spices)

  • Cooking spray or a little animal fat for the air fryer basket

Instructions:

  1. Prep salmon nuggets:
Pat the salmon pieces dry with paper towels.

  2. Prepare breading:
In a bowl, whisk the egg.
In another bowl, mix crushed pork rinds, salt, pepper, and optional spices.

  3. Coat the nuggets:
Dip each salmon nugget into the egg, then coat thoroughly with the pork rind mixture.

  4. Preheat air fryer:
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.

  5. Cook nuggets:
Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray or a bit of animal fat.
Place salmon nuggets in a single layer (don’t overcrowd).
Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy on the outside and cooked through inside.

  6. Serve:
Enjoy hot! Perfect on their own or with a carnivore-friendly dipping sauce like melted butter or sour cream (if tolerated).
