🧀🥓 Carnivore Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole
Ingredients:
-
1.5 lbs ground beef (80/20)
-
6 slices bacon, chopped
-
1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or a mix of cheddar & mozzarella)
-
4 large eggs
-
1/2 cup heavy cream
-
Salt to taste (optional)
-
Optional (if not strict carnivore): 1/2 tsp garlic powder or onion powder
🔥 Instructions:
1. Cook the Bacon:
-
In a skillet over medium heat, cook chopped bacon until crispy.
-
Remove and set aside. Leave a bit of bacon fat in the pan.
2. Brown the Ground Beef:
-
In the same skillet, add the ground beef and cook until browned.
-
Season with salt (and optional spices if using).
-
Drain excess fat if needed, but leave some for flavor.
3. Assemble the Casserole:
-
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
-
Spread the cooked beef evenly in a greased 9×9 baking dish.
-
Sprinkle cooked bacon on top.
-
Add shredded cheese over the meat.
4. Make the Egg Mixture:
-
In a bowl, whisk together eggs and heavy cream until smooth.
-
Pour evenly over the meat and cheese mixture.
5. Bake:
-
Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden and the casserole is set.
6. Rest & Serve:
-
Let cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing.
-
Enjoy with melted butter, a fried egg on top, or plain!
🥩 Tips:
-
Want extra fat? Add a layer of cream cheese or top with beef tallow after baking.
-
Make it dairy-free carnivore? Omit the cheese and cream — replace with whisked eggs and more ground beef or organ meat.
Would you like a freezer-friendly version or one with organ meats added for nutrient density?
