🥩 Carnivore Bacon Cheeseburger Soup

Ingredients:

  • 6–8 slices bacon, chopped

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 is ideal for fat content)

  • 1 cup beef bone broth (or water, if preferred)

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or a mix of cheddar + mozzarella)

  • 4 oz cream cheese (cubed, optional for creamier texture)

  • 1 tbsp butter or beef tallow (optional for extra fat)

  • Salt to taste

🔥 Optional add-ins for flavor (carnivore-friendly):

  • Dash of garlic or onion powder (omit for strict carnivore)

  • Crumbled cooked egg or egg yolks stirred in

  • Dash of mustard (for dirty carnivore diets)

👨‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Cook bacon:
In a large pot or skillet over medium heat, cook chopped bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside. Leave a little fat in the pot.

  2. Brown ground beef:
In the bacon fat, cook ground beef until fully browned. Season with salt. If desired, add a spoon of butter or tallow for extra richness.

  3. Add broth & simmer:
Add bone broth to the pot and bring to a low simmer. Let it reduce slightly for 5–10 minutes.

  4. Add cream & cheese:
Stir in heavy cream, shredded cheese, and cream cheese. Keep heat low and stir frequently until everything is melted and smooth.

  5. Mix in bacon:
Stir in most of the crispy bacon pieces. Taste and adjust seasoning.

🍽️ To Serve:

Serve hot, topped with reserved bacon. Great on its own or alongside:

  • Hard-boiled or soft-boiled eggs

  • A side of seared liver or other organ meats for a nutrient boost

  • Cheese crisps if you allow dairy-based crunch
