Brown Butter Bites (Serves 12)
🧈 Ingredients:
-
2 sticks unsalted butter (1 cup or 226 grams)
🔥 Instructions:
-
Brown the Butter:
-
Place the 2 sticks of butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
-
Let it melt completely, then continue cooking.
-
Stir frequently as the butter foams, sizzles, and begins to brown.
-
Watch closely: the milk solids will sink to the bottom and start to turn golden brown and give off a nutty aroma (this takes about 7–10 minutes).
-
Once browned (not burned!), immediately remove from heat.
-
-
Pour and Chill:
-
Carefully pour the browned butter into silicone molds, mini muffin tins, or an ice cube tray.
-
Let it cool slightly at room temperature for 10–15 minutes, then refrigerate until firm (about 1 hour).
-
-
Serve:
-
Once solid, pop the bites out of the molds.
-
Store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks, or freeze for longer storage.
