Carnivore Burrito Recipe
Ingredients:
-
“Wrap” Option (using animal products)
-
2 large slices of roast beef or deli meat (or thin slices of steak, pork belly, or chicken breast)
-
OR
-
1 large piece of beef tallow or pork belly fat (to wrap the ingredients)
-
-
Filling:
-
1 lb ground beef (or your preferred ground meat like lamb, pork, or chicken)
-
1 cup cooked bacon, crumbled (optional, for added flavor)
-
2 large eggs (scrambled)
-
1/4 cup shredded cheese (optional if you tolerate dairy; choose a full-fat cheese like cheddar, mozzarella, or parmesan)
-
2 tbsp beef tallow or butter (for cooking)
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
Instructions:
-
Prepare the “Wrap”:
-
If you’re using roast beef, pork belly, or thin slices of meat as your wrap, lay them flat on a clean surface, overlapping slightly to create a large “wrap” space.
-
If you’re using a piece of beef tallow or pork belly fat, slice it thinly and sear it in a pan until crispy, then use it to wrap your burrito.
-
-
Cook the Ground Meat:
-
In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt the beef tallow or butter.
-
Add the ground meat and cook until browned and fully cooked, breaking it up as you go.
-
Season with salt and pepper to taste. You can also add a pinch of garlic powder, onion powder, or other carnivore-friendly spices, if desired.
-
Add crumbled bacon if using and cook for an additional minute, mixing well.
-
-
Scramble the Eggs:
-
In a separate pan, heat a little butter over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the pan and scramble until fully cooked.
-
-
Assemble the Burrito:
-
Lay your meat and bacon mixture in the center of your “wrap” (roast beef slices, pork belly, or beef tallow).
-
Add the scrambled eggs and top with shredded cheese (if using).
-
Carefully fold the sides of the wrap and roll it up like a burrito.
-
-
Serve:
-
Serve immediately while warm. You can slice it in half to enjoy the inside layers.
-
Optional Tips:
-
Bacon or Sausage: You can also swap the ground meat with crumbled sausage or leftover carnivore-friendly meat.
-
Carnivore-friendly toppings: If you tolerate dairy, you can add sour cream or avocado (in small quantities) for additional richness.
This carnivore burrito is a high-protein, high-fat meal that’s completely in line with the carnivore diet. The meat “wrap” adds a great savory touch and keeps the whole meal entirely animal-based. Enjoy!
