Carnivore Cake Recipe
This simple carnivore cake is made with just three essential ingredients, perfect for those on a strict carnivore or keto carnivore diet! It’s great as a birthday cake alternative or as a dessert for any occasion.
Ingredients:
-
4 large eggs (room temperature)
-
½ cup sweetener (use a carnivore-appropriate sweetener such as stevia, monk fruit, or omit for strict carnivore)
-
1 tsp vanilla extract (optional, for flavor)
-
1¼ cups whole milk (raw milk if possible)
-
5 tbsp butter (cubed)
Instructions:
-
Preheat Oven:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
-
Beat the Eggs:
In a large bowl, beat the eggs on high speed for about 5 minutes until they become thickened and light.
-
Add Sweetener and Vanilla:
Gradually add the sweetener while continuing to mix until light and fluffy. Add vanilla extract (if using) and mix.
-
Heat Milk and Butter:
In a small saucepan, heat the milk and butter over medium heat for about 2 minutes until the butter melts.
-
Combine:
Slowly add the milk and butter mixture to the eggs and beat until everything is combined well.
-
Bake:
Pour the mixture into a greased 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) baking dish. Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
-
Cool:
Let the cake cool before serving.
Notes:
-
Strict Carnivore: Omit sweetener and vanilla extract.
-
Keto Carnivore: Use a keto-friendly sweetener like monk fruit.
-
Adding Carbs: Omit the sweetener and drizzle raw honey on top after baking for extra sweetness.
Serving Suggestions:
Serve this cake as a simple dessert or special occasion treat. You can top it with whipped cream (if dairy is part of your diet) or enjoy it plain.
