Carnivore Caramel Milkshake

🕒 Prep Time: 5 minutes

❄️ Servings: 1–2

🧾 Ingredients:

Shake Base:

  • 1 cup heavy cream (or raw cream if preferred)

  • ½ cup whole milk (optional, or use more cream for strict carnivore)

  • 2–3 oz cream cheese or mascarpone

  • 1 tbsp beef gelatin (for thickness, optional)

  • Ice (a handful)

Carnivore “Caramel” Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter (grass-fed preferred)

  • 1–2 tbsp beef tallow (or more butter)

  • 1–2 tbsp egg yolk powder OR raw egg yolk (for flavor/thickness)

  • Pinch of salt

  • Optional: a few drops of vanilla extract (not strictly carnivore but often accepted)

🔧 Directions:

Step 1: Make the Caramel Butter Base

  1. In a small saucepan, melt the butter and tallow over low heat until it starts to brown slightly (but not burn).

  2. Stir in the egg yolk powder or raw yolks off heat to create a thickened, creamy “carnivore caramel.”

  3. Add a pinch of salt for balance. Let it cool for 1–2 minutes.

Step 2: Blend the Shake

  1. Add to a blender:

    • Heavy cream

    • Milk (if using)

    • Cream cheese or mascarpone

    • Ice

    • Optional: gelatin for thickening

  2. Pour in the cooled caramel butter mixture.

  3. Blend until smooth and creamy.

Step 3: Taste and Adjust

  • Want it thicker? Add more cream cheese or gelatin.

  • Want it richer? Add more butter or tallow.

  • Want it frothier? Add a raw egg white (optional).

🧊 Optional Toppings (Carnivore-Approved):

  • Whipped cream (just whipped heavy cream)

  • Shaved frozen liver (for the bold)

  • Crumbled crispy bacon (for a salty crunch)

🔄 Variations:

  • Salted Caramel: Add a touch more salt

  • “Mocha” Vibe: Add a dash of egg yolk and browned butter for deeper flavor

  • Frozen: Freeze ingredients ahead of time and blend for a frosty consistency
