Carnivore Chaffle Burger
Ingredients:
For the Chaffles:
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or other cheese of your choice)
- 1/4 tsp salt (optional)
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional)
- 1/4 tsp baking powder (optional, for fluffier chaffles)
For the Burger:
- 1-2 beef patties (or any meat of your choice: ground beef, turkey, lamb, etc.)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 slice of cheese (optional, like cheddar, Swiss, etc.)
- Optional toppings (cooked bacon, pickles, avocado, mustard, etc.)
Instructions:
Step 1: Make the Chaffles
- Preheat your waffle maker: Heat it to a medium-high setting.
- Prepare the chaffle batter: In a small bowl, whisk together the egg, mozzarella cheese, salt, garlic powder, and baking powder (if using).
- Cook the chaffles: Spray your waffle maker with non-stick spray or grease with butter. Pour half of the batter into the waffle maker and cook until golden brown (about 3-5 minutes, depending on your waffle maker). Repeat with the remaining batter to make a second chaffle.
- Set aside: Once done, carefully remove the chaffles and set them aside.
Step 2: Cook the Burger Patties
- Prepare the patties: Season your burger patties with salt and pepper.
- Cook the patties: Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat and cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side (or until they reach your desired doneness). If you’re adding cheese to the patty, place a slice on top of the burger in the last minute of cooking to melt it.
Step 3: Assemble the Chaffle Burger
- Layer the ingredients: Take one chaffle and place your cooked burger patty on top. Add any optional toppings you like (e.g., cooked bacon, avocado slices, or pickles).
- Top it off: Place the second chaffle on top to form a “bun.”
Step 4: Serve and Enjoy
- Slice it in half if desired, and enjoy your carnivore chaffle burger!
Optional Toppings:
- Bacon: Crispy bacon adds a nice crunch and flavor.
- Avocado: Adds creaminess and healthy fats (if you’re okay with some plant-based items).
- Pickles: A tangy touch that pairs well with the savory burger and cheese.
- Mustard or mayo: A drizzle of mustard or sugar-free mayo for extra flavor.
Tips:
- You can make extra chaffles and store them in the fridge or freezer for quick meals later.
- If you’re craving a more decadent version, you can cook your burger in butter for extra richness.
This Carnivore Chaffle Burger is perfect for anyone looking for a protein-packed, low-carb, and delicious alternative to traditional burgers!
