Ingredients:
- 1 lb bacon (about 12-15 slices), diced
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream (full-fat)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (or any other meltable cheese like cheddar or provolone)
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp heavy cream (optional, for extra creaminess)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder (optional)
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika (optional, for a smoky flavor)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper (to taste)
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
- A pinch of salt (to taste)
Instructions:
1. Cook the Bacon:
- In a large skillet, cook the diced bacon over medium heat until crispy, about 8-10 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent burning. Once crispy, remove the bacon and set it aside on a paper towel-lined plate to drain off any excess fat.
- Keep about 1 tablespoon of bacon fat in the skillet for extra flavor and discard the rest, or use it in another recipe!
