Ingredients
-
1–2 cups shredded cheese (your choice)
-
Best options: cheddar, parmesan, mozzarella, Colby Jack, or a mix
-
-
Optional: pinch of garlic powder, onion powder, or paprika (skip for strict carnivore)
-
Optional: sliced pepperoni, bacon bits, or crumbled ground beef as toppings
Instructions
🔥 Oven Method (Best for Batch Cooking)
-
Preheat Oven
Preheat to 400°F (205°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (not wax paper!). -
Portion the Cheese
Spoon small mounds (about 1 tablespoon each) of shredded cheese onto the parchment.
Space them at least 1–2 inches apart — they will spread as they melt. -
Add Optional Toppings
Add a slice of pepperoni, a few bacon bits, or ground beef if desired. -
Bake
Bake for 6–10 minutes, depending on the cheese and your crisp preference.
Watch closely after 6 minutes — they go from golden to burnt quickly. -
Cool & Crisp
Let cool on the tray for 5 minutes. They’ll crisp up as they cool!
🔥 Skillet Method (Quick & Easy)
-
Preheat a non-stick or cast-iron skillet over medium heat.
-
Drop in small piles of shredded cheese.
-
Let cook undisturbed for 2–3 minutes until edges are golden and crispy.
-
Remove and cool on a paper towel-lined plate.
🧊 Storage
-
Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temp.
-
For extra crisp, reheat briefly in a toaster oven or air fryer before serving.
🧠 Tips
-
Parmesan gives the crispiest texture.
-
Mozzarella can get chewy if overcooked — mix with cheddar for best results.
-
Want perfectly round bites? Use a mini muffin tin (bake at 375°F for 10–12 minutes).
Let me know if you want an air fryer version, or a “carnivore nachos” twist using these as a base!
