Carnivore Crumbles Recipe
Ingredients:
-
1 lb (450g) ground beef (80/20 or fattier for juiciness)
-
1 tsp salt (optional)
-
1/2 tsp black pepper (optional)
-
Optional: animal fat or butter for cooking (if extra fat is needed)
Instructions:
-
Heat the pan:
Place a large skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat. Add a little animal fat or butter if your beef is lean. -
Cook the beef:
Add the ground beef to the pan. Break it up immediately with a spatula or wooden spoon. -
Season:
Sprinkle salt and pepper over the beef if using. -
Brown and crumble:
Cook, stirring frequently, until the beef is browned and cooked through, and nicely crumbly. This usually takes about 7-10 minutes. -
Drain (optional):
If there’s excess grease, you can drain it off or leave it in for extra flavor. -
Serve or store:
Use immediately as a topping or base, or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days, or freeze for longer storage.
Tips:
-
You can swap beef for ground pork, lamb, or bison.
-
Spice it up with carnivore-friendly seasonings like garlic powder or smoked paprika if you tolerate them.
-
Use crumbles in eggs, salads, or carnivore chili.
