Carnivore Custard (Egg & Cream Dessert)
100% animal-based | Keto | No plant ingredients
🔪 Ingredients (Serves 2)
-
4 large eggs
-
1 cup heavy cream (or raw cream if you have it)
-
2 tbsp melted butter (optional, for richness)
-
¼ tsp salt (optional, enhances flavor)
-
1 tsp vanilla extract (optional if strict carnivore, or omit entirely)
Sweetness Option (Not pure carnivore, but commonly used by relaxed carnivores):
A few drops of liquid stevia or monk fruit, or use nothing and enjoy it rich and eggy.
👨🍳 Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
-
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream, butter, salt, and vanilla (if using) until completely smooth. You can also use a blender for that silky finish.
-
Pour into 2 small ramekins or oven-safe mugs.
-
Place the ramekins into a baking dish. Fill the dish with hot water halfway up the sides of the ramekins (this is a water bath to gently cook the custard).
-
Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the custard is set but still slightly jiggly in the center.
-
Let cool slightly, then refrigerate if you like it cold.
🥄 Variations
-
For a cheesecake vibe:
Add 2 oz cream cheese per serving when blending. -
Want it fluffier?
Separate eggs, whip the whites, and fold them in for a soufflé-like version.
✅ Carnivore-Friendly Notes:
-
No sweeteners, no fruit, no grains — just pure animal goodness.
-
If you’re fine with raw dairy, swap in raw cream or cultured cream for a probiotic boost.
Would you like a frozen version next time, like a carnivore ice cream or mousse? I can whip one up.
