Carnivore Dinner Roll
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup pork rind crumbs (finely crushed)
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon Parmesan (optional, for flavor)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional, for flavor)
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano (optional, for flavor)
- Salt (to taste)
Instructions:
-
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) for convection or 400°F (200°C) for a regular oven.
-
Prepare the Ingredients:
- In a medium-sized bowl, combine the pork rind crumbs, egg, and melted butter.
- If you’re using Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, oregano, and a pinch of salt, add them in now and mix everything together well.
-
Prepare Baking Dish:
- Grease a small ramekin or baking dish with butter or cooking spray to prevent the roll from sticking. (You can also line it with parchment paper for easier removal.)
-
Form the Roll:
- Pour the mixture into your prepared ramekin or baking dish. Use a spoon to smooth the top if necessary.
- You can also make multiple small rolls if you prefer, just divide the mixture between smaller ramekins.
-
Bake:
- Place the ramekin in the oven and bake for 13-14 minutes, or until the roll is golden brown on top and cooked through. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean.
-
Serve:
- Let the roll cool for a couple of minutes before serving. Top with a little extra butter if you like for extra flavor.
Notes:
- Texture: These rolls will have a soft, fluffy interior with a slightly crunchy exterior thanks to the pork rind crumbs.
- Add-ins: Feel free to adjust the seasoning (garlic, oregano, and Parmesan) based on your preference. If you’re going for strictly carnivore, skip the Parmesan and seasoning.
- Serving Suggestions: These rolls pair wonderfully with carnivore-friendly meals like steak, chicken, or even a rich broth or soup.
Enjoy your Carnivore Dinner Roll for a special treat that’s both delicious and diet-friendly! 😋
