Carnivore Lasagna
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 lb ground pork (optional for extra flavor)
- 1 tsp Redmond’s salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup ricotta cheese or cream cheese
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
-
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
-
Brown the ground beef and pork in a large pan over medium heat. Season with Redmond’s salt and garlic powder (if using). Drain any excess grease.
-
Make the creamy ricotta mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese (or cream cheese), eggs, and heavy cream. Stir until smooth and creamy.
-
Assemble the lasagna: In a baking dish, layer half of the cooked meat mixture. Then, add half of the creamy ricotta mixture, followed by a generous sprinkle of shredded mozzarella cheese.
-
Repeat the layers: Add the remaining meat mixture, then the rest of the ricotta mixture, and top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
-
Finish with Parmesan: Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top layer.
-
Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
-
Rest before serving: Let the lasagna rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing to help it set and make it easier to cut.
