Carnivore Lasagna Recipe
Ingredients:
-
2 lbs ground beef
-
1 lb ground pork (optional for extra flavor)
-
1 tsp Redmond’s salt (or any salt of your choice)
-
1 tsp garlic powder (optional, depending on whether you want to include some seasoning)
-
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
-
1 cup ricotta cheese or cream cheese (choose based on your preference)
-
2 large eggs
-
½ cup heavy cream
-
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
-
Preheat the Oven:
-
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
-
-
Prepare the Meat:
-
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and ground pork (if using) over medium heat until browned. Make sure to break the meat apart into crumbles while cooking.
-
Drain any excess fat and return the meat to the pan.
-
Season the meat with 1 tsp of Redmond’s salt and the garlic powder (if using). Stir well to combine and remove from heat.
-
-
Prepare the Cheese Mixture:
-
In a separate mixing bowl, combine the ricotta or cream cheese, eggs, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese.
-
Mix until smooth and well combined.
-
-
Assemble the Lasagna:
-
In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, start with a layer of the cooked meat mixture on the bottom.
-
Follow with a layer of the cheese mixture. Use a spatula to spread it evenly.
-
Sprinkle some shredded mozzarella cheese over the cheese mixture.
-
Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of the shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
-
-
Bake the Lasagna:
-
Cover the lasagna with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
-
After 20 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese on top is golden and bubbly.
-
-
Let it Rest:
-
Once done, remove the lasagna from the oven and let it rest for about 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
-
Serving:
-
Slice and serve hot. This carnivore lasagna is perfect on its own or paired with a side of low-carb vegetables or a salad if desired.
