Carnivore Loaded Burgers
Ingredients:
- For the Burger Patties:
- 2 lbs (900g) ground beef (preferably 80/20 ratio for flavor)
- Salt (to taste)
- Pepper (to taste)
- Garlic powder (optional)
- For the Toppings:
- 4 slices of bacon (or more if you prefer extra)
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese like Swiss or Gouda)
- 4 cooked eggs (fried or scrambled, depending on your preference)
- 4 slices of pork belly (or additional crispy bacon)
- 4 tbsp butter (for cooking)
- For the Burger “Buns” (Optional, to make them even more indulgent):
- 4 slices of beef steak (about 1/2-inch thick) or
- 4 slices of crispy pork belly (for a higher fat ratio)
Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the Burger Patties
- Season the ground beef: In a large mixing bowl, season the ground beef with salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder. Mix thoroughly.
- Form the patties: Shape the seasoned beef into 4 equal-sized burger patties. Press down lightly in the center to prevent them from puffing up during cooking.
Step 2: Cook the Bacon & Pork Belly
- Cook the bacon: In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- Cook the pork belly (if using): Slice the pork belly into thin pieces and cook in the same skillet until crispy. Remove and set aside.
Step 3: Cook the Burger Patties
- Heat butter in the skillet: Add a tablespoon of butter to the skillet and heat over medium-high.
- Cook the patties: Place the burger patties in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches your desired level of doneness (160°F for well done).
- Melt the cheese: In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty and cover with a lid to melt.
Step 4: Prepare the Eggs
- Fry or scramble eggs: While the burgers are cooking, heat another tablespoon of butter in a separate skillet. Fry or scramble your eggs to your liking.
Step 5: Assemble the Carnivore Loaded Burger
- Layer the burger: Take your cooked burger patties and layer them with the crispy bacon, cooked eggs, and additional pork belly slices on top.
- Optional “Bun”: If you’re using beef steak or crispy pork belly as your “buns,” place the patties between two slices of beef or pork belly.
Step 6: Serve
- Serve your loaded carnivore burgers immediately, either on their own or with a side of crispy bacon or more beef steak for extra protein and flavor!
