Carnivore Lobster Tails with Garlic Herb Butter Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 4 lobster tails (fresh or frozen)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (optional, based on your preference for seasoning)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Freshly ground black pepper (optional, to taste)
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional, depending on your level of carnivore strictness)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). This will allow your lobster tails to cook evenly and get that nice golden color.

  2. Prepare the Lobster Tails:

    • Using kitchen scissors, carefully cut down the top center of the lobster tail shell to expose the lobster meat.
    • Gently pull the lobster meat out of the shell, keeping it attached at the base of the tail. Lay the lobster meat on top of the shell, making sure it’s slightly raised above the shell to ensure it cooks evenly.
  3. Make the Garlic Herb Butter:

    • In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
    • Stir in the garlic powder (if using) and a pinch of salt. If you’re following a flexible carnivore diet, you can also add freshly ground black pepper at this point, but it’s optional.
    • Optional: You can add fresh herbs like parsley or thyme to the butter mixture. However, for a stricter carnivore approach, you can skip this step.
  4. Coat the Lobster:

    • Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly greased.
    • Brush the lobster meat with the melted garlic herb butter. Be generous with the butter, making sure to coat the meat well, but save some butter for drizzling after baking.
  5. Bake the Lobster Tails:

    • Place the lobster tails in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes.
    • The lobster meat should be opaque and firm to the touch when fully cooked. Be careful not to overcook, as lobster can become tough if left in the oven too long.
  6. Finish & Serve:

    • Once the lobster tails are cooked, remove them from the oven and drizzle the remaining garlic herb butter over the lobster meat.
    • Optional: If you’re not strictly following carnivore, you can squeeze a little lemon juice on top for extra flavor.
  7. Garnish and Enjoy:

    • If you used fresh parsley or herbs, sprinkle them over the lobster tails as a garnish for added flavor and visual appeal.
    • Serve immediately and enjoy your buttery, succulent lobster tails!
