🍕🥩 Carnivore Meat Lover’s Pizza
Ingredients:
For the “crust”:
-
1 lb ground beef (80/20) or ground pork
-
1/2 tsp salt
-
Optional: 1/2 tsp garlic/onion powder (omit for strict carnivore)
Toppings:
-
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar
-
1/4 cup grated Parmesan
-
6 slices pepperoni
-
4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
-
1–2 sausage links or 1/3 lb ground sausage, cooked
-
Optional: 2 tbsp ricotta or cream cheese for dolloping
🔥 Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven:
-
Set to 400°F (200°C).
2. Make the Crust:
-
Press the ground beef into a thin, even layer in a cast iron skillet or parchment-lined baking sheet (about 10–12″ diameter).
-
Lightly salt the meat.
-
Bake for 10–12 minutes or until most of the fat is rendered and the meat is browned but not dry.
-
Optional: Drain excess fat for a firmer “crust”.
3. Add Toppings:
-
Sprinkle shredded cheese over the meat base.
-
Layer on pepperoni, bacon, sausage, and any additional cheese or creamy toppings like ricotta.
4. Bake Again:
-
Return to oven and bake another 8–10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
-
Broil for 1–2 minutes at the end to get that golden-brown top.
5. Cool & Slice:
-
Let it rest for 5 minutes to set, then slice and serve like a regular pizza!
🧈 Pro Tips:
-
Use pork rinds or extra cheese in the base if you want a firmer crust.
-
Great topped with a fried egg or dipped in warm bacon grease or beef broth!
Would you like a version with a crust made from chicken or cheese, or maybe a portable version like pizza cups?
