Ingredients:

- 1 lb ground beef (preferably 80/20 for flavor and moisture)
- 1/2 lb ground pork (adds moisture and flavor, optional)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (preferably whole milk for better melt)
- 1 egg (helps bind the mixture)

- 1 tsp garlic powder (optional, for added taste)
- 1/2 tsp onion powder (optional, depending on your preferences)
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt (adjust based on preference)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley (optional for garnish)
- For the Stuffing:
- 4 oz mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes (to stuff inside the meatballs)
- For Cooking:
- 2 tbsp butter (for frying)
- 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)
Instructions:
- Prepare the meatball mixture:
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork (if using), egg, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix thoroughly using your hands or a spoon until well-combined. Add in the shredded mozzarella cheese and mix again. The cheese will help keep the meatballs moist.
- Prepare the mozzarella stuffing:
- Cut the fresh mozzarella into small cubes—about 1-inch pieces. These cubes will be stuffed inside the meatballs to create that delicious cheesy center.
- Form the meatballs:
- Take a small amount of the meatball mixture (about 2 tablespoons) and flatten it in your palm. Place a cube of mozzarella in the center and then carefully seal the meatball around the cheese, making sure it’s fully enclosed. Repeat this process for all meatballs.
- Cook the meatballs:
- Heat the butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the meatballs in batches (to avoid overcrowding). Fry the meatballs for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown on all sides and cooked through. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Serve:
