Carnivore Pulled Chicken (Slow-Cooked or Oven-Baked)
A high-protein, zero-carb dish for serious carnivores. Great for meal prep, stuffing into carnivore bread, or eating straight from the bowl.
🥩 Ingredients:
For the Chicken:
-
2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs (higher fat, better for carnivore)
-
1 tsp salt
-
½ tsp black pepper (optional, omit for strict carnivore)
-
1 tsp garlic powder (optional — omit for strict carnivore)
-
1 tbsp beef tallow or duck fat (instead of olive oil)
Carnivore “BBQ” Sauce (Optional but delicious):
This is a smoky, fatty glaze—zero sugar, no carbs.
-
2 tbsp beef tallow
-
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar (omit for strict carnivore, or use a splash of lemon juice from animal-fed animals like goat milk kefir if extremely strict)
-
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (check ingredients or make your own meat-based version)
-
1 tsp smoked salt or a pinch of liquid smoke
-
¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
🔥 Instructions:
1️⃣ Season the Chicken:
Rub chicken with salt, optional pepper and garlic powder, and coat in beef tallow.
2️⃣ Cook Low and Slow:
-
Slow Cooker: Place chicken in slow cooker, pour over the carnivore “BBQ” glaze, cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
-
Oven: Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35–40 minutes, basting halfway through with more tallow or pan juices.
3️⃣ Shred & Coat:
Shred the cooked chicken with forks or meat claws. Return to the pot or baking dish, mix well with rendered fat and meat juices.
4️⃣ Serve Carnivore Style:
Serve with:
-
Slices of cheese
-
Over eggs, bone marrow, or beef liver
-
Stuff into carnivore bread (made from eggs, cheese, and pork rinds)
-
Or just eat it hot and juicy from the bowl!
