Carnivore Salmon & Cream Cheese Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 2 fillets of salmon (about 6-8 oz each)

  • 2 tbsp butter (for cooking the salmon)

  • 4 oz cream cheese (full-fat)

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional for flavor)

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional for a slight tang)

  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Fresh dill or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

1. Cook the Salmon:

  • Heat 1 tbsp of butter in a skillet over medium heat.

  • Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.

  • Place the salmon fillets in the skillet, skin-side down (if using skin-on fillets), and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the salmon is cooked through and easily flakes with a fork. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.

2. Make the Cream Cheese Sauce:

  • In the same skillet, melt the remaining 1 tbsp of butter over medium-low heat.

  • Add the cream cheese and stir until it softens and melts into a smooth sauce.

  • Slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly to combine and create a creamy sauce. Let the sauce simmer gently for a few minutes, allowing it to thicken.

  • Stir in the Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, and adjust salt and pepper to taste. If you prefer a more tangy flavor, you can add more lemon juice or Dijon mustard.

3. Serve:

  • Place the cooked salmon fillets on plates and spoon the cream cheese sauce generously over the top.

  • Garnish with fresh dill or parsley if desired.

Optional Variations:

  • You can add a touch of cooked bacon crumbles on top of the salmon for extra flavor and crunch.

  • If you like a slightly thicker sauce, you can cook it for a bit longer to reduce it down.

This Carnivore Salmon & Cream Cheese Sauce is a perfect blend of creamy, savory goodness with the rich flavor of salmon. It’s a great meal for anyone on a carnivore diet and can be paired with other meat dishes or eaten alone. Enjoy!
