Carnivore Sausage-Cream Cheese Bake
🧾 Ingredients:
-
2 lbs (32 oz) breakfast sausage (raw, uncooked — any kind you like)
-
8 oz cream cheese (1 standard brick)
-
4 large eggs (optional, adds structure and extra protein)
-
1 cup shredded cheese (optional if you allow dairy — cheddar, mozzarella, etc.)
-
Salt and pepper (optional, sausage is usually salty enough)
🔪 Instructions:
-
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
-
Brown the sausage in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking it up as it cooks. Cook until no longer pink and lightly crispy.
-
Drain grease if desired (or leave some for more flavor), then add the cream cheese to the hot sausage. Stir until melted and fully combined.
-
If using eggs: Crack 4 eggs into a bowl, beat lightly, then stir them into the sausage-cream cheese mixture.
-
Pour mixture into a greased 9×9″ or 9×13″ baking dish, depending on desired thickness.
-
Top with shredded cheese if using.
-
Bake for 20–25 minutes (or until the edges are bubbling and the center is set — a little jiggle is okay).
-
Let cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing. It firms up a bit as it sits.
🍽️ Serving Ideas:
-
Eat it solo as a hot casserole.
-
Slice into squares and refrigerate or freeze for grab-and-go meals.
-
Serve with fried eggs or carnivore “toast” (like soul bread!) for a full breakfast plate.
Want to make this 100% strict carnivore (no shredded cheese, no seasonings, just meat, eggs, and cream cheese)? I can adjust that for you too.
