Carnivore Soul Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
-
8 oz cream cheese, softened
-
4 large eggs
-
1/4 cup melted butter (or bacon fat/tallow for more carnivore purity)
-
1/4 cup unflavored whey protein isolate (can sub with egg white protein powder)
-
1/4 cup powdered pork rinds (optional for texture and more fat)
-
1 tsp baking powder
-
1/2 tsp salt
Optional additions (more relaxed carnivore):
1/2 tsp garlic powder or onion powder for flavor
A pinch of cream of tartar (to stabilize the eggs)
🥣 Instructions:
-
Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
-
In a mixing bowl, blend the cream cheese and eggs until smooth (hand mixer or blender recommended).
-
Add the melted butter, then stir in the whey protein, baking powder, salt, and optional pork rinds. Mix until fully combined into a thick batter.
-
Pour into the loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
-
Bake for 35–40 minutes or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
-
Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove and let it fully cool on a wire rack before slicing.
🔪 Tips:
-
Let it sit overnight in the fridge to firm up—makes it easier to slice thin.
-
Toasting brings out a better texture and taste, especially for sandwiches.
-
Store in the fridge up to 5 days, or freeze slices for later.
Would you like a version with no dairy or one that’s egg-heavy like a protein bread loaf?
