Carnivore-Style Thin Burger Patties with Cheese
Ingredients:
-
2 lbs grass-fed ground beef (80/20 preferred for flavor and fat)
-
Sea salt (to taste)
-
Optional: Black pepper (if you’re not strict zero-carb)
-
Slices of high-quality cheese (cheddar, gouda, Swiss, or your choice)
Instructions:
-
Preheat your skillet or griddle (cast iron works great) over medium-high heat.
-
Divide the meat into 6 equal portions (roughly 1/3 lb each if you’re aiming for generous thin patties).
-
Form thin patties by pressing them flat—around 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. You can use parchment paper and a burger press for uniform thinness.
-
Season both sides with salt just before cooking.
-
Sear in batches for 2–3 minutes per side until they develop a crust and are cooked to your liking.
-
Add cheese during the last minute of cooking so it melts over the top.
-
Serve hot—stacked if you want, or laid out solo, with maybe a pat of butter on top for extra richness.
Optional Upgrades (Still Carnivore-Friendly):
-
Top with a fried egg
-
Add beef bacon or seared bone marrow
-
Drizzle with tallow or ghee
