Carnivore-Style Thin Burger Patties with Cheese

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs grass-fed ground beef (80/20 preferred for flavor and fat)

  • Sea salt (to taste)

  • Optional: Black pepper (if you’re not strict zero-carb)

  • Slices of high-quality cheese (cheddar, gouda, Swiss, or your choice)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your skillet or griddle (cast iron works great) over medium-high heat.

  2. Divide the meat into 6 equal portions (roughly 1/3 lb each if you’re aiming for generous thin patties).

  3. Form thin patties by pressing them flat—around 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. You can use parchment paper and a burger press for uniform thinness.

  4. Season both sides with salt just before cooking.

  5. Sear in batches for 2–3 minutes per side until they develop a crust and are cooked to your liking.

  6. Add cheese during the last minute of cooking so it melts over the top.

  7. Serve hot—stacked if you want, or laid out solo, with maybe a pat of butter on top for extra richness.

Optional Upgrades (Still Carnivore-Friendly):

  • Top with a fried egg

  • Add beef bacon or seared bone marrow

  • Drizzle with tallow or ghee
