Carnivore Waffles
Ingredients:
- 4 large eggs
- 2 oz cream cheese (optional for extra fluff, or use a bit more butter if avoiding dairy)
- 2 tbsp melted butter (plus more for greasing the waffle iron)
- 1 tbsp heavy cream (optional, skip if you prefer dairy-free or use water)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional, for extra flavor, skip for strict carnivore)
- Pinch of salt
- 1/4 tsp baking soda (optional for fluffiness)
- Cinnamon (optional for flavor, skip for strict carnivore)
Instructions:
-
Preheat Your Waffle Iron:
- Preheat your waffle iron while you prepare the batter. Grease it lightly with butter to prevent sticking.
-
Prepare the Waffle Batter:
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream cheese, and melted butter. Add the heavy cream (or water if you prefer), vanilla extract, and pinch of salt. If you’re adding cinnamon or baking soda, whisk them in as well.
- Mix everything until smooth, and make sure the cream cheese is fully incorporated to avoid lumps.
-
Cook the Waffles:
- Pour the batter onto the preheated waffle iron. Depending on the size of your iron, you may need to adjust the amount of batter you use.
- Close the waffle iron and cook for about 3-4 minutes or until the waffles are golden brown and crisp.
-
Serve:
- Once the waffles are done, carefully remove them from the waffle iron and serve hot.
- Top with butter or cream cheese for extra richness, or enjoy them plain.
Notes:
- For a strict carnivore version, skip the vanilla extract, cinnamon, and heavy cream.
- These waffles will have a rich, savory flavor from the eggs and butter, and will be slightly crispy on the outside while remaining fluffy on the inside.
- If you’re craving more protein, you could even add ground beef or sausage to the batter for a more filling meal, but this will change the texture slightly.
Enjoy your Carnivore Waffles as a filling, satisfying breakfast or treat! 😋
