For the Lasagna Layers:
- 9-12 lasagna noodles (oven-ready or boiled as per package instructions)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (for topping)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Sauce
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add chopped onions and cook until softened, about 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in minced garlic and sliced mushrooms. Sauté until mushrooms release their moisture and turn golden brown (about 5-7 minutes).
- Add fresh spinach and cook until wilted, about 2 minutes.
- Lower the heat and stir in ricotta cheese, heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg. Mix well until creamy and set aside.
Step 2: Assemble the Lasagna
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease a 9×13-inch (23×33 cm) baking dish.
- Spread a thin layer of the creamy sauce at the bottom of the dish.
- Add a layer of lasagna noodles.
- Spread more sauce over the noodles, followed by some mozzarella cheese.

Step 3: Bake
