180 ml orange juice (from about 3 large oranges) 🍊
3/4 teaspoon gelatin powder + 1 tbsp cold water 🌿

Orange Whipped Cream (optional):

120 ml heavy cream (at least 30% fat) 🥛
20 g icing sugar 🍬
1 tsp orange zest 🍊
Instructions:
Orange Mousse
1️⃣ Prepare Ingredients: Zest and juice the oranges. Separate egg yolks and whites. Rehydrate gelatin by mixing with cold water in a small bowl; set aside to thicken.

2️⃣ In a small saucepan, whisk egg yolks with half of the sugar until combined. Stir in orange juice until smooth.

3️⃣ Place on low heat, stirring constantly for 5-10 minutes until slightly thickened (do not boil to avoid curdling). Strain the mixture into a large bowl to remove any lumps.

4️⃣ Add gelatin paste to the warm mixture, whisking until dissolved, then stir in orange zest. Cover with plastic wrap touching the surface and chill for 30-60 minutes until no longer hot but not set.

5️⃣ In a clean bowl, whisk egg whites until foamy, then gradually add the remaining sugar, beating to stiff, glossy peaks.

6️⃣ Gently fold egg whites into the yolk mixture in batches, stopping once fully incorporated. The texture should be light and airy.

7️⃣ Divide mousse into serving cups and chill for 3-4 hours or overnight.

Orange Whipped Cream (optional)
1️⃣ In a clean bowl, whisk cold heavy cream with sifted icing sugar until stiff peaks form. Fold in orange zest.

2️⃣ Top each mousse cup with whipped cream and garnish with a fresh orange slice if desired.

Keep chilled until serving—enjoy this citrusy, refreshing treat! 🍊✨
