Ingredients
(1) 18-20 ounce Brownie Mix * ((plus ingredients called for on the box – water, oil, eggs))
8 ounces Salted Caramel ((jarred or homemade))
(2) 8-ounce pkgs. Cream Cheese ((softened))
1/2 cup Sugar
2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract or Vanilla Bean Paste
Preheat your oven according to the brownie mix package instructions and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan. Prepare the brownie mix according to the package directions (mixing water, oil, and eggs), and pour it into the prepared pan, reserving a small amount of batter for topping.
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla. Beat until smooth and creamy. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter in the pan and swirl gently with a knife to create a marbled effect. Drizzle the salted caramel over the cream cheese layer and add dollops of the reserved brownie batter on top.
Bake according to brownie package instructions, usually around 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the brownie portion comes out mostly clean. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares. Serve as is or with additional caramel drizzled on top. Enjoy your delicious caramel cheesecake brownies!
