Steak Tartare Recipe
Instructions:
1. Prep the Meat
Freeze 12 ounces of lean beef for about 20 minutes to make slicing easier.
Remove from freezer, slice into thin strips, then dice into tiny cubes.
2. Combine Ingredients
In a bowl, mix the diced beef with 2 tsp brown or Dijon mustard, 1 tsp balsamic or apple cider vinegar, and 1 tsp salt.
Mix thoroughly until well combined.
3. Plate the Tartare
Shape the tartare into a mound on a plate or bowl.
Make a small dip at the top of the mound and gently place 1-2 egg yolks (optional) on top.
4. Serve Fresh
Enjoy immediately, as leftovers do not store well due to the marinade.
