🧀🐷 Pork Rind Crust Carnivore Pizza
A low-carb, high-protein pizza that’s crispy, cheesy, and entirely carnivore-friendly. Perfect for keto or carnivore diets.
📋 Ingredients
Crust:
-
1½ cups pork rinds, crushed (about 3 oz / 85g before crushing)
-
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded and melted
-
1 large egg
-
¼ tsp salt (optional, depending on saltiness of pork rinds)
Toppings:
-
2–4 tbsp low-carb tomato sauce (optional for strict carnivore)
-
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
-
½ to 1 cup cooked meat toppings of choice (e.g. pepperoni, Italian sausage, ground beef, bacon)
🔧 Instructions
-
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet or pizza pan with parchment paper. -
Make the Crust Dough
In a mixing bowl, combine:-
Crushed pork rinds
-
Melted mozzarella
-
Egg
-
Salt
Mix well until a sticky dough forms. You may need to knead it with your hands or a spatula.
-
-
Shape the Crust
Transfer the dough to your prepared baking sheet. Flatten it out into a round or rectangular shape, about ¼ inch thick. You can use wet hands or parchment paper on top to press it evenly. -
Bake the Crust
Place the crust in the oven and bake for 10–12 minutes, or until it’s golden brown and slightly crisp. -
Add Toppings
Remove from the oven and add your:-
Optional tomato sauce
-
Mozzarella cheese
-
Cooked meats
-
-
Bake Again
Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 5–7 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly. -
Cool & Serve
Let the pizza cool for 3–5 minutes before slicing. This helps the crust firm up.
🍽 Tips & Variations
-
For a zero-carb carnivore version, skip the tomato sauce and use only cheese and meats.
-
Want extra crisp? After the first bake, flip the crust before adding toppings and bake another 2 minutes.
-
Add herbs like oregano or garlic powder to the crust if you allow seasonings in your version of carnivore.
