Carnivore Cookie Bars (Strict Recipe)
Ingredients:
-
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
-
1/2 cup heavy cream (or 1/4 cup powdered heavy cream or milk powder, optional for texture)
-
1/2 cup beef protein isolate or egg white powder (or milk protein isolate)
-
1–2 egg yolks (optional, for richness and binding)
-
Pinch of salt
🔥 Instructions:
-
Brown the Butter:
-
In a saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the butter.
-
Let it cook until it turns golden brown and smells nutty (about 5–8 minutes). Watch it carefully so it doesn’t burn.
-
-
Mix the Base:
-
In a bowl, mix protein powder and powdered cream (if using).
-
Slowly pour the browned butter into the dry mixture, stirring until it forms a thick dough.
-
Add egg yolks if using, and mix to combine.
-
-
Shape & Chill:
-
Press the mixture into a small parchment-lined loaf pan or dish to about 1/2 inch thick.
-
Chill in the fridge or freezer for at least 1 hour until firm.
-
-
Slice & Serve:
-
Cut into bars or squares and enjoy cold or at room temp!
-
✅ Optional Add-ins (still carnivore-friendly):
-
Bits of cooked bacon for crunch
-
Crispy chicken skin pieces
-
Shaved aged cheese (like Parmesan)
