Carnivore Beef & Egg Casserole Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef (80/20 for good fat)

  • 8 large eggs

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (optional, adds richness)

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper (optional)

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)

  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (optional, if you include dairy)

  • Butter or animal fat for greasing the baking dish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish with butter or animal fat.

  2. Cook the beef:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder (if using). Drain excess fat if desired.

  3. Prepare egg mixture:
In a large bowl, whisk together eggs and heavy cream until combined.

  4. Assemble casserole:
Spread the cooked beef evenly in the greased baking dish. Pour the egg mixture over the beef. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top if using.

  5. Bake:
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until eggs are fully set and the top is slightly golden.

  6. Cool and serve:
Let cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm.

Tips:

  • This casserole is great for meal prep and reheats well.

  • Feel free to add cooked bacon or sausage for extra flavor.

  • If you tolerate herbs, fresh parsley or chives can add a little zing.
