Cheeseburger Pizza Carnivore Style
Ingredients:
For the Meat Crust:
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef (preferably 80% lean)
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Cheeseburger Pizza Topping:
- 1/2 lb (225g) ground beef (for the topping)
- 1/4 cup diced onions (optional, if you eat onions on a carnivore diet)
- 1/4 cup sugar-free ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard (optional)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 4-6 slices of bacon (cooked and crumbled)
- Pickles (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Make the Meat Crust:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, egg, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or use a pizza stone. Form the beef mixture into a pizza crust shape on the parchment paper. Press it down evenly to about 1/2 inch thick.
- Bake the meat crust for 15-20 minutes or until it is golden and crispy around the edges. Remove it from the oven.
2. Prepare the Cheeseburger Pizza Toppings:
- While the meat crust is baking, cook the ground beef for the topping in a skillet over medium heat until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.
- If using onions, sauté them in the same skillet with the ground beef until they’re softened (optional, depending on your carnivore preferences).
- Once the beef is fully cooked, remove the skillet from the heat and drain any excess fat.
- Mix in the sugar-free ketchup and mustard to the beef mixture, giving it a burger-like flavor. Set aside.
3. Assemble the Pizza:
- Once the meat crust is cooked, spread the beef mixture (from step 2) evenly over the crust.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese on top.
- Add crumbled bacon over the cheese (optional but adds great flavor).
- Return the pizza to the oven and bake for another 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
4. Serve and Garnish:
- Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes.
- Slice it up and serve. If you want, you can garnish it with pickles for an extra cheeseburger touch (optional based on your preferences).
Notes:
- If you are following a strict carnivore diet, skip the ketchup, mustard, and onions.
- You can also add other carnivore-friendly toppings, such as extra cheese, sausage, or pepperoni.
This Cheeseburger Pizza Carnivore Style is rich, savory, and satisfying. It’s a great way to indulge in a pizza craving while keeping things aligned with a carnivore diet! Enjoy!
