Carnivore Noodles recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef (or any ground meat like pork, lamb, or chicken)
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, if dairy is allowed on your carnivore diet)
- 2 tbsp beef tallow or butter (for cooking)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Meat Mixture:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef (or your choice of ground meat), egg, and Parmesan cheese (optional). Add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste. The egg and cheese will help bind the meat together, giving it more structure and making it easier to shape.
- Mix everything together until it’s well combined. If the mixture feels too wet, you can add a little more grated cheese to help firm it up.
2. Shape the Noodles:
- Lay a sheet of parchment paper on a flat surface or use a silicone baking mat.
- Scoop out spoonfuls of the meat mixture and roll them out into long, thin strips. You can use your hands to form these strips into noodles. Aim for a shape similar to traditional pasta, but the noodles will be a little thicker due to the ground meat.
- For smoother noodles, you can flatten each strip slightly with your hands or a rolling pin.
3. Cook the Noodles:
- Heat the beef tallow or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Carefully place the shaped meat strips into the pan. Cook the noodles for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and fully cooked through. You want them crispy on the outside but tender on the inside.
- Alternatively, you can bake the meat strips in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes, turning them halfway through until they are golden and firm.
4. Serve:
- Once cooked, remove the carnivore noodles from the skillet or oven. You can serve them immediately as a side dish or as a base for a carnivore lasagna or any other dish that traditionally uses noodles.
- Top the noodles with more cheese or any carnivore-friendly sauce (like a meaty ragu or creamy cheese sauce).
These Carnivore Noodles are rich in protein and fat, making them perfect for a zero-carb, carnivore lifestyle. They’re versatile and can be used in a variety of dishes without the carbs from traditional pasta!
